Got my iTunes 10.7 with Cover Flow back and I'm Soooooooo Happy!!!

User uploaded file

I'm very greatful to the helpful posts on here which gave me enough information to piece together how to restore iTunes 10.7 without having to do a complete restore from my Time Machine backup. Apple has since deleted the helpful posts with the key information so it wouldn't do any good for me to try and explain the steps. Just know it can be done and in about five minutes. Again my deepest gratitude to the fellow users who made the critical posts that I saw before they were taken down. I hope Apple realizes we truly love their products and software, and we do this to help them maintain the greatness that was achieved under the guidance of Steve Jobs. Add new features yes, but please don't destroy what it is that makes iTunes special. Bring back Cover Flow for us all.

Hmm don't know. Maybe it's because I'm still running Lion (I'm not on Mountain Lion yet). I think Apple is trying to hide more and more about what is really going on with each version of OSX, giving the user less choice and control. Let's hope they never completely dumb down the desktop and turn it into a phone interface like Microsoft has done with Windows 8. iOS is awesome on the iPhone and iPad, and it's fine to have some cross pollination between iOS and OSX, but the power of the desktop and desktop applications should never be compromised just to make them look more like the iOS versions. That would be a grave mistake and loss of functionality. Let's hope that's not the reason iTunes 11 has undergone such dramatic feature castration. If it's a sign of things to come in OSX itself, then we are in real trouble. Mac user's will long for Snow Leopard like Windows users clung to XP. Apple -- please don't pull a Microsoft on us!
