itunes 11 will not shut down

Itunes 11 will not shut down when requested to. Force quit does not help either.

I cannot shut down my mac, receiving error stating Itunes not allowing to quit.

Running Mac Mini, new Mountain Lion (2012). Was working fine until upgrade.

HELP

Mac mini, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2), Just upgraded to Itunes 11
