hi ,i have a shinco 42 inch tv i was trying to mini display port-hdmi conection with mac pro...but its showing blue display in tv and no signal..but i used the hdmi cable with sony tv it worked..im using mac os x 10.7.5. canu anyone help me out?

May TVs do not accept data signals on their HDMI inputs, but only video signals. Check the manual on your TV on how to connect a data source (PC or Mac). Eventually it only allows DVI (if available) or VGA.

No, check your TV. Your TV. TV. And its manual. Yes, your TV's manual. Maybe it has DVI, then you can use an HDMI->DVI cable or adapter.

THERE is no dvi port in tv.. but got VGA port...VGA does support audio ?
No, VGA is only analog graphics, but probably the best if not only option you have with that TV.
VGA does not support audio, you'll need to make a separate connection.
