How do you completely remove VirtualBox, its holding onto disk after uninstall

hi

I no longer need VirtualBox installed on my MacBook Air, so I removed it and use the uninstall and it has removed the application and folders and cleared my trash. However I still seem to have a lot of Disk showing as assigned to 'other' which I was expecting to be freed up. Any ideas on how i can clean this up as installing VirtualBox seems to have taken up a lot of disk.

regards

MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.5)
