Wrong photos shown on wife's mail and iPhone

When I send a photo by mail from either my iPhone3 (and now iPhone5), the wrong photo is displayed on my wife's iPhone4 and in Mail on her new 13inch MacBook Pro - latest version of OSX. On her account, the mail will display an old photo from something else.

The correct photos are seen on my copies and by other people who receive the mail. So, it is specific to the mail received by my wife.

What to do to correct this?
