Q: Is it possible to purchase an iTunes gift card using an iPad?

That works fine using iTunes from a computer but I can't find any way to do it using an iPad.

That comes close but the only thing you can do is purchase a gift card which will be sent to you. I want to be able to email a gift card to a relative and also buy an app for them.

Well according to that link, app gifting is not possible with ios6. My choices appear to be go back to ios5 or use a computer to purchase my gifts.
