Sync my calendar data from iPhone to iCloud. Which overwrite first?

I installed the new OSX, but I had some problems with time machine.

I need to sync my calendar data from the iPhone to iMac, through iCloud.

But iCloud has a lot of events that I want to remove before I sync, because I do not know if iCloud will overwrite the ones in iPhone

I tryed to delete everything in the iCloud, but saids a problem with server cannot delete the calendar events. I created a new calendar and tryed to delete the old one which have a lot of events. But no luck.

Can anyone help to understand how iCloud works. Which data is overwrite first ?

In my case the most recent data, is the one in iCloud . so I think this data will overwrite the one in the iPhone, and I do not want that.

Thank you in advance

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.0.1, 32 GB

When you turn on Calendars in Settings>iCloud you will be asked whether you want to merge the calendar on your phone with iCloud or not. If you choose to Merge, the calendar on your phone will be merged with the calendar on iCloud. If you choose not to, the iCloud calendar will overwrite the calendar on your phone. The only way to have the calendar on your phone "overwrite" the one in iCloud is to delete all the events on icloud.com, then turn Calendars to On on your phone and choose Merge, which will merge your phone's calendar with the empty one on iCloud.

You'll have to determine what the server issue is that is preventing you from deleting the events on your iCloud calendar. You should be able to sign into your account, click on a single event in your calendar, click Control-A to select all events, the click your Delete key to remove them. There were server issues related to iCloud calendars recently so you may want to try again later (see http://www.apple.com/asia/support/icloud/systemstatus/).

Thank you for your explanation.

I'm still strugling.

My iPhone is OFF until I have this issue solved.

iCloud does not accept me to delete this calendar because it saids I need to have at least one calendar active. It saids to create another one before I delete this one.

You say I can delete every event in the calendar, just by pressing CTRL-A. I did that with my mouse over one event, but nothing happens.

Now I press CTRL-A-DELETE. A message appears saying that it's read-only.

I tryed to delete everything from the calendar in iMac, but when I use the Year view, it won't select all.

How can I delete all events from the computer ? Then it will sync with iCloud.

After I will turn on iPhone and all data from there will go to all other devices.\

But I still had no answer how the data is treated. From one event that has been changed, which have priority ?

With iTunes and iPhone, always the data from iMac will overwrite the one in iPhone, the opposite will ask if I want to overwrite

Sync my calendar data from iPhone to iCloud. Which overwrite first?
