How to Use Less Data on the Iphone 5, Thanks

Hi, I just got a Iphone 5 a few weeks ago and i was wondering how do I use less data. I already went over my data plan, I dont stream music or movies or anything i check my emails, go on facebook a few times a day and pinterest. thanks for your help.
