Sim card unsupported?

I bought an iPhone 4S yesterday for at&t and I am stuck on the activation screen. I try to use an at&t sim and it says sim is unsupported on itunes. It is unlocked for any gsm. I put in a tmobile sim and I get service but I cant activate it through iTunes or over wifi. Any help? Its running iOS 6.0.1

If I understand correctly, you're trying to activate an AT&T SIM on an AT&T network. If so, and if you're in the U.S., contact AT&T at (800) 331-0500. This number is staffed 24 hours a day.

Ive already contacted them and the sim card has been activated. I am still stuck on the activation screen, it is still saying the sim is unsupported.
