I have Final Cut 7.03 and have experienced problems with my Boris Graphics.... I select an go into Boris Title 3D or even text scrambler....
I choose controls and click for options Grey Box
At this point the system freezeds and says FILE EDIT HELP..... and I must select CLOSE.... then it asks me to save changes.... I select NO
any ideas??

I don't know this particular problem, but the best you might do is to download the upgrade for the Boris title 3d tool.
It's free and I've never had an issue with boris since.
You might have a corrupt font or a font conflict. Open Font Book (which is in your applications folder) and select all and "validate fonts."
