where is the system sound file for specific sounds other than the ones in the system library
I.e. there is a very unique triple beat sound alert that is only heard when you download & install a program (Not from app store but when you have a third party dmg)
The sound is like a triple bell and i cant find it anywhere.
Would there be another file location?

Check the Sounds folder in your Home Library
Go to your Finder "Go" menu hold the option key to choose "Library"
thanx for the input, but i have already been thru all those sounds and its not one of them.
is there any othe location OTHER than system -- library -- sounds (not there) and
users -- library -- sounds (empty)

Not that I know of.
Try starting in Safe Mode and see if the problem still occurs?
Restart holding the "shift" key.
(Expect it to take longer to start this way because it runs a directory check first.)
