Q: can I use keynote remote to make a local network with my mac when wifi is not available

Can I create a local connection between my macbook pro and my ipod touch to use Keynote Remote when there is no wifi available?

iPod touch, iOS 6.0.1, macbook pro using osx 10.8.2

    You can create an adhoc network from your MacBook Pro and connect to it from your iPod Touch.  Once connected, you can run Keynote Remote as usual.  Note that when you have your MacBook/iPod Touch connected that way, you cannot use any other network connections (e.g., for internet, email, etc.)
