Dec 10, 2012 10:36 AM in response to Aydnemreby Ralph Landry1,The Retina is fully updated for Mac OS X? From System Preferences > Network does it show the wireless network as available? If it is truely not detecting the signal, or intermittent, there could be a problem with the AirPort circuitry in the Retina. Since it is in warranty, try taking it to an Apple store genius bar and have the techs run some diagnostics to see what is going wrong.

Dec 11, 2012 4:24 AM in response to Aydnemreby Ralph Landry1,The following knowledge base article gives a number of troubleshooting steps to try to find the problem. A step some users find to help most frequently is to power down the wireless router, disconnect from power to be sure it is shutdown, turn off the wireless computers, then plug in and restart the router. Give it a few minutes to establish the base IP address it will use. Then one at a time restart each wireless device giving it a few minutes to get its IP address from the router.
If that doesnt' work, and none of the steps in the knowledge base article work for your MBP, it would be a good idea to take it to an Apple store genius bar and have the techs test to see if there is a fault with the AirPort circuitry in the MBP. It is important to do that while it is still under warranty.
