I can't send email on my iphone 4s.

I can't send email on my iphone 4s. I get an error message "A copy has been placed in your Outbox. The recipient (any email address I try) was rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying." I get the same message on all 3 email accounts I have on my phone. I can receive emails on all accounts, but cannot send. I think it started after the last update.

Sounds as if your outgoing server (SMTP) is not verified on the account, and as such is not logging into the server and allowing it to send mail. Go back into your mail accounts and check the settings for the SMTP server. You may have missed entering the username and password in one section. On the phone it may say optional, but you should enter them anyway.

Hi Chris,

I am hoping you may be able to help me? I am trying to get my iphone to send from a home wifi connection here in Canada, but my phone is from the UK. I am able to receive emails, but it will not let me send from the house I am staying in?

I did go to the shop today to try to sort this through them and they were not at all helpful, as they said that if it works in the shop, they do not know why it would not work elsewhere.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Debbie
