Q: missing purchase

a purchase I made from the iTunes store has not shown up in my music library or in any itunes folder on my computer.  How do I get this song in my files?  It shows it as purchased in the store, but it isn't downloaded to the computer.

MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

    You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.


    You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app (or video app) on your iOS device.
