I was all excited to play my new copy of Sim City 4 on my new G5 (2.1)...but I ran into a bunch of video problems. The game says it requires at least 32Mb of VRam, and my G5 has 128. I thought, hey...128 should be enough, right? Well...even with all the setting down to their lowest graphics settings, the game still is glitchy. Any advice out there on how I can play this game on my G5 without having to sacrifice graphics? Thanks!
I too have this game, but have not had the issues you describe. I would suggest though that if your processor performance is not set to highest that you do this. It's located in your preferences at the Energy Saver Icon. Change pull down menu from automatic to highest.
I did what you suggested, and it still is glitchy. The glitches start when I try to lay water pipes. The screen turns black, and the when I move around the map with the keyboard arrows...the screen hesitates as well. It's a big ugly mess. I'm hoping it's an easy fix. Any other suggestions?? Thanks a bunch.
