facebook conflict in contact list

I am using iPhone 4 iOS 6. My contact list is updated with facebook information, but for some people I use iCloud for the nickname I gave them. Once in a while facebook accts take over iCould acct and I have to go through my whole list again to fix them. Is there anyway to get around this
