Q: How to clean up hard drive

I'd like to cleanup my hard drive. I saw a post about disksweeper and was wondering if that's the best choice. I'm a novice Mac user. thanks, Lin

IMO... 3rd party Cleaning software is not necessary...

Mac OS X tends to look after itself...

So far I have found none of the supposed "cleanup" applications that are worth the money they charge.

I still use OmniDiskSweeper which tells me where the disk space is b eing used and then clean up manually.

it's not necessarily "the best choice" as best is subjective and people have their own preferences. OmniDiskSweeper, Onyx and others http://guides.macrumors.com/Cleaning_Your_Mac's_Hard_Drive
