Sending emails and sharing pages in Safari

Hi

I wonder if anyone can help.

I have a problem with my iPad 2. Running iOS6.

Whenever I try and Share a Page in Safari via mail, or try and email within Safari, the drop down Compose screen appears. I can write the email, and press Send. However, the emails don't send. I've tried this with 2 accounts, both gmail and enterprise. Nothing in sent folder and no email ever received.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue?

Simply as a troubleshooting test - have you tried composing the email - then hit cancel - but save the draft, then go to the draft folder of your email account and see if the draft is in there. Try sending it from there.

That doesn't solve the problem, its just a workaround.

I am having the same issue. I have tested various email accounts, and none of them are sending from Safari. The above suggestion of saving to drafts works. Not really a solution though...

Same here. Have tried multiple email accounts. Emailing from mail directly works. But share by email from Safari does not. I can hear the mail sent sound but when I look into the sent items folder nothing is there.

Try doing a hard reset by holding the lock and home buttons down until the device restarts. Fixed the issue for me.

The reboot of the iPad appeared to do the trick. I can now share by mail again. I use this a lot for sending links to Pocket.
