My iPhone 5 won't update/install apps !! Any idea why ?

I own an iPhone 5, an iPhone 4s and an iPad 2.

They are all not jailbroken and are all running on ios 6.0.1

While my iPhone 4s and iPad 2 have no problem updating existing apps or installing new apps, my iPhone 5 won't update/install apps all !!

To be fair, about 2 week ago, all my iPhone 5 update/install won't work but after a day or two, they started downloading.

But now, my iPhone 5 updates and installations have been stalled for a week.

What is happening ? Can anybody please help ? Thanks.

I am having the exact same problem...I just downloaded an app on Christmas Eve and now nothing will work. I tried turning the phone on/off, tried hard reset, tried resetting all settings...everything besides a restore (DON"T want to to do that...SOOO time consuming!!). This is the first time this has happened, all of my software is up to date...what is going on!!!!

Based on the statements above, the issue is with installing updates directly on the device, correct?

What happens if you try downloading the updates via iTunes on the computer and syncing to the device?

hey diesel vdub, im having same problm as the others but ive also tried to install app on computer with no probs, they syncing to device, which it says it is doing but then nothing?????/

Go to settings General, scroll Down to iTunes & Apps store and select then automatic updates = change APPS to ON and change use mobile data to ON

I'm having the same problem, on my iPhone 5 when I try to go to the updates it just sits there and thinks.... Blank screen, nothing ever comes up and then I get the network connection was lost, but I'm connected to wifi. The iPhone is the wrist iPhone I've ever had, and I had the 3 iPhones before this one! Disappointed with this phone!

Okay fixed it:

First of all make a backup and sync your iPhone in iTunes.

Next reinstall your iPhone using DFU mode:

(FIND HOW 2 GET IN DFU MODE ON GOOGLE, APPLE DO NOT ALLOW TO PUT IN LINKS HERE :-( )

Then choose to put your latest backup back on your iPhone.

And voila you should see you now can recieve updates from App Store.

(It worked for me)

Since you have given us absolutely no details as to which phone you have, Which version of iOS you have, what error messages you may see..... We have no idea what the issue may be.
