Q: iWeb?

Why does Apple not include iWeb on the App store??!!  That does not make sense!

So I can only get iWeb through the physical dvd software?

Correct. iWeb (as well as iDVD) has been withdrawn by Apple.

You will need to buy iLife 11 from eBay or Amazon.

    Thank you for clarifying!

Also, what's everyone's thoughts on website design software. My wife is particularly interested for possible online type business use and we aren't code savvy etc to going all out. Is iWeb even worth using due to

    It's discontinuation? That true?

I've seen on other forums that Adobe Dream Weaver is great but quite expensive...just wondering thoughts please on what would be the most reasonable approach for website design for the Mac.

Thanks for the great support as always Apple community!

Apple is no longer updating iWeb. However, if you have the tool and it works I figure you might as well use it. I still continue to use iWeb until a good replacement comes along.

Here is just a couple of projects I have done with iWeb:

Can I created drop down tabs to minimize tabs or pages at the top of my website versus having too many topics/pages shown?

Yes you can, but drop down menus in iWeb are not easy to do - you need to get 3rd party software and then upload to your server and connect the 2 in iWeb.

As iWeb is outdated now and no longer supported, I would suggest that it is now time to look at other software alternatives such as EverWeb.  You can create drop down menus in EverWeb very easily without even having to leave the app as you would do in iWeb.  Very simple to do in EverWeb right from inside it.  Take a a look at it.
