Mar 24, 2014 5:48 AM in response to BigEddieStyleby Silverback50,This is a very quick work around solution that I figured out tonight to resolve how to play a wedding playlist in a set order.
View your playlist tracks as a list. Right click and add 'Grouping' as an extra column. Then right click each track and add a,b,c etc to the info on each track. This takes seconds. Then click on "order by grouping" and Bob's your Uncle, you've got a quick list of tracks in the order you want them A - Z.
If you have more than 26 tracks to order then use your ingenuity eg AA1. Believe me this is quicker than faffing about waiting for an Apple programmer's solution.

Mar 30, 2014 5:40 PM in response to kilimaby EDEW,The weird thing is when I click on the "Sort by" to set it to Manual, the list got resorted to the way I wanted. It was set as default sorted by "Artist" which is sort of all right.
Another weird event was when I sorted in other orders, some of the pieces went missing. I can tell because the scroll bar on the right got larger, indicating fewer pieces on the playlist. I'll just keep this playlist in "Manual" sort mode, I guess.

Jun 11, 2014 7:52 PM in response to George Gibsonby IndianaAway,This is exactly why Developers suck as coding interfaces. They need people who actually use the product looking over their shoulder. Developers also suck at QA.
i.e. bottom line here for those on version 11.1.5.5 as it scrolls by at light speed in the help area....... click on the first column which it the number of the songs in order, once the sort arrow is indicated up or down, it will then sort by the number and THEN you can drag them in the order you want. What idiot made that requirement?!
Oh...BTW Tim Cook.... Doing a 7 for 1 stock split isnt going to make people buy your stock. Try coming up with something new.

Mar 9, 2016 12:41 PM in response to CandyDanCanby Hobbit_CZ,Nothing appear there if you are in iTunes 12, there is also no manual order in View Options anymore. I have one album, three tracks there, track names are cd1 cd2 cd3, EVERYTHING is the same in song info (artist, album) track names are Track 1, Track 2, Track 3. That @&$@#@^#^@#!!! software keeps sorting it:
Track 2
Track 1
Track 3
I would like to meet the "great" guy who was responsible to launch such piece of crappy software under Apple name. WHY THE **** if they are so stupid to sort it properly, cannot just click and move it to the right position in the playlist. Is there any reason except **** people off by removing this feature??

Select the playlist.
Then select Songs at top right, select the first column with the numbers then drag the tracks in the order you want.
