5th Generation Ipod Touch Issue

My computer does not recognise my 5th generation touch. When i plug it into my computer it recognises a camera only. How do i get it to load into my itunes? I have no problems when i plug my nano into the computer - it goes straight to itunes. HELP!

- The Nano and iPod touch use different drivers.

- You need iTunes 10.7 or later (version 11 is the latest) on the computer.

See:

iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows

I would start with:

Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP

Is the iPod the new Nano with the Lightning cable? I am asking since some 5G iPods were shipped with a defective Lightning cable.
