QuickTime Error: -50

I use FCP X and Compressor 4. All products are up to date.

Project is done in FCP X and then sent to Compressor. Media Apple optimised. Used several FxFactory filters. Additional soundtract in MP3 with 300 kb/s bitrate, 48 kHz. Clip chrono is 5 minutes.

For compresstion I use standart present Vimeo or YouTube 720p

Copressor estimates nearly two houres for processsing and after 20 minutes failes with error code QuickTime Error: -50.

What does it mean? Howcan I fix it? FCP itself compresses the clip without a problem..

Many Thanks,

Vladimir

I'm somewhat surprised that FCP had no problems with the MP3. Generally, I'd say convert it to AIFF before bringing it into FCP.

According to Edit codes most likely causes of -50 error are corrupt or invalid media, which also kind of points the finger at the MP3.

Finally, I'd suggest exporting a master file and bring that into Compressor for your YT encode. Should be quicker.

Good luck.
