can i load movies into ipod classic to watch on plane without internet

i don't know much about ipods. ilost mine for a year in my messy office, found it in a spot i put it in so i would not loose it. so now that we have established my iq we can get down to business. i want to know if i can "load movies into the memory of my ipod "120gb" i want to watch on the plane. do i have to have internet access? i also have a iphone5 and a ipad 4 can i do the same thing with the ipad? i know' iknow' what a waste of technology on an ole grannie. all i can say is, "it is what it is" i could really use some pointers in the right direction. thank you and merry christmas to all of you. god bless you too.
