Hello, I have a firewire cable (fits my iPhone 4) coming out of my stereo (I can't unplug it, it is hardwired through the dash). When I hook it up to my iPhone I can play music through my car speakers, but the phone won't charge. Remember, I cannot unplug this cord coming out of the dash.... Help?! How can I get both music and charging?

Um... are you sure it's firewire?
The iPhone does not support firewire anything...
hmmm..maybe I am using the wrong terminology. It is the standard iphone 4 charging connector that is coming out of the glove box. It allows the speakers to play what is on my phone, but it won't charge the phone itself.
If the system in your car has an iPod connector built in, it may not be fully compatible with the iPhone. Check the manual for your car and contact the manufacturer if you have questions.
