Quadro FX 4500 to Video?

I was rather irked to see Windows-compatible versions of the Quadro FX cards that came with a standard S-Video output port. You would figure that with a card this expensive, Apple would ship it with USEFUL options like video out, instead of rarely-used options like stereoscopic output. Go figure.

So I got to wondering, is there any way to use the Apple Quadro FX 4500 to get standard video output? I have one 30" Cinema Display, I figured I could use the second DVI port with some sort of converter to send a signal to a TV, either NTSC component or S-Video. Has anyone tried this? Can anyone recommend an adapter?

I noticed that Apple sells a DVI to Video adapter for $19

This gadget might be adequate, but a tech note says it is incompatible with the Quadro FX card.

Think that is just a pin out trick.

The DVI on the 15 Laptop I know has VGA and Video / S Video pins actually in the DVI connector.

SO the cable is just pin for pin break out.

I thought about this problem myslef recently, I don't think the s-video chips are on the fx 4500.

the quadro with video I think is a different video card all together.

You may need a scan line converter.
