Itunes /Iphone Sync

I purchased some songs from ITUNES, and have synced them with my iphone. The issue I have is that when I select 2 of the songs to listen to, they do not play. They actually close the music player down. The rest of the music plays fine. Appreciate any advise on how to resolve this.
