Q: AirPort Extreme with TimeCapsule?

Can I have a AirportExtreme (let's say first gen) act as a range extender for a Second Gen time capsule (802.11n support)?

What URLs provide a beginner with the "how to" for setup, including changing the SSID and wireless settings such as broadcast SSID, WPA2, MAC filtering, etc?

Thanks!!

AirPort Extreme and Time Capsule, iOS 5.1.1, Non iOS devices are wifi clients

Yes, if the AirPort Extreme is an 802.11n "square" version (looks like the Time Capsule, only a bit smaller) . If it's the old "round" version, then "extend" will not work.

Cannot help much there, but can answer most specific questions, if you have one.

A good resource that you might look at would be Take Control of Your 802.11n AirPort Network: Get expert help with ...

I have no interest in this, other than being a customer.

As far as configuring the "square" AirPort Extreme to extend the Time Capsule wireless.....if you have Lion, or Mountain Lion on your Mac....or an iPad, AirPort Setup will literally do this for you.
