Can't connect to my Dlink NAS

My imac's harddrive died (faulty - 3 problem with it in 12 months) and when i got it back, the os had been upgraded to X vs 10.7.5 - as a consequence (i think) the computer has lost the ability to identify my dlink dns-323 NAS in Finder.

When i search and ping it, it is there. When i use itunes (it holds all my music) under shared drives, it is there. But in FInder and all other apps, when i try to connect to use the files, save, modify etc it gives me a message:

"There was a problem connecting to the server "10.0.1.115". The version of the server you are trying to connect to is not supported. Please contact your system administrator to resolve the problem."

Can anybody help ?
