DHCP numbers suddenly disappeared from an ipad 2 and a mac book yesterday and cannot get them back on the network.
other macs and an older ipad are working just fine.
I tried to enter the numbers from static but they keep getting wiped clean
any ideas?

Did you try to restart the router, the iPad and the Mac?
And actually, can you still surf?
What router do you have?

I did restart all. with yhe ipad i forgot network reset network setting and did a hard reboot.
im using a linksys router.
The thing is, everything was working fine for all macs and ipads and iphones(wifi related) for a long time. no
trouble.
the only change was yesterday when the service provider cut off the service for a few hours. When it got
back on, I had the problem with the ipad 2 and the macbook.
If it doesn't work yet, you can also try to let the iPad and the Mac 'forget' the network, and then just connect back. If it's solved, you can close this discussion.
