dropped iphone in water

I dropped my iphone in the toilet (don't ask!) its an iphone 4 and i've had it for 3 years now. It won't turn on however the camera light it permanently on and when I connect it to my pc it momentarily is identified and begins to sync but then disconnects. Help!
