Can I insert a square root on pages? And can I write an equation text (not image) on pages?

I can't write text equations, like square roots or vectors, and superscripts and subscripts. Is there a solution for this?

I dont think you do this in pages or any iworks app on iOS. however you can always look into apps that make them into png images for dropping into your documents. This is onethat i found after about a minute of googling. Theres some that require you to learn LTeX language I think as well, but i dont need to learn a new language.

There is no equation editor in Pages. But you can generate terrific equations using an iOS LaTEX editor like MathBot or Daum Equation Editor:

These apps generate graphical versions of the equations that you simply paste into your document.
