I can't write text equations, like square roots or vectors, and superscripts and subscripts. Is there a solution for this?
iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi, iOS 6.0.1, iWork for iPad
I dont think you do this in pages or any iworks app on iOS. however you can always look into apps that make them into png images for dropping into your documents. This is onethat i found after about a minute of googling. Theres some that require you to learn LTeX language I think as well, but i dont need to learn a new language.

You can copy/paste super/subscripts and any other math characters that are in Unicode. Use an app like Cymbol or Unicode Map.

I found out how! First you have to click the Format pull down menu, then drag your courser to Font, and then lastley to Baseline. 🙂

You seem to be talking about the OS X version of Pages. This discussion and forum are for the iOS version, which is totally different.
There is no equation editor in Pages. But you can generate terrific equations using an iOS LaTEX editor like MathBot or Daum Equation Editor:

These apps generate graphical versions of the equations that you simply paste into your document.
