How to make my remote on my iphone 5 connect to my itunes library

I had a devil of a time connecting my iPad, eventually I had to turn my Firewall off on my router. The normal process is to go into settings on the Remote and Add an iTunes Library, this will show a 4 digit pin, you then go to your iTunes and you will see a button with a device waiting, put the pin in and they should connect.

That worked once one the iPhone5, and I could also see my ATVs, but that was yesterday, today, it can't connect to the iTunes or see the ATVs, yet my iPad can.

It is all a bit flaky since they upgraded the iTunes and the ATVs....

Any help with the iPhone5 would help please.
