where do I find the messages app on my macbook?

I have Mountain Lion OS X but I can't find the Messages feature...Can someone help me?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

HI,


Have you, in the past, separated items in the Applications Folder into subfolder ?

For instance: Picture editing apps or even Apple iApps.


Do you have one for Messaging apps ?


If this was done in Mountain Lion and then you Upgraded the Messages will have missed this upgrade.

If you did this in Lion and jumped to Mavericks then iChat may still exists in a sub folder and Messages will not be on there.

Hi,


If you did put it in a separate folder then move it back to Applications then Reinstall the OS (which will includes various Apple Apps.)


If you deleted iChat then I would use Time Machine and put back iChat then Reinstall.
