Everything sidechained to kick disappears

I sidechained white noise, bass synth, and some pads to a kick through a compressor, all was well. I decided that the kick was not to my taste, so I made a New Track with Duplicate Settings (I pressed the button above the tracklist). Then when I decided on a new kick, I deleteled the old. But all of the sidechain sounds disappeared, even though the new kick had the sidechain compressor on Bus 1 (which everything was connected too). Why do the sounds not come through the sidechain anymore even though the parameters are still the same (because I duplicated the kick)?
