Library erased

When syncing my Music library - 4000 tunes, it is erased from my two devices - iPhone 5 and iPod touch - afraid to sync my iPad. Also when in iTunes store buying albums, getting an error 42408 error message??

iPhone 5, iOS 6.0.1
