I moved my ibook library to another hard drive and then re-added to itunes. I then re-synced my ipad and now 90% of my books have no author or genre details. Saying this, I never had genre details for 90% of my books anyway.
Was there a problem with the sync? or is there some special way to add these details?

The authors might not have added that info to begin with. It's something that needs to be added manually and not automatically - by the author/developer that is.

I did some investigation and that's what it looks like.
Although I did remove all the books from my library and re-added them. the author details came back but 90% still have no genre details. As long as I got the author details, I'm not too worried.
Why does most of my books on iBooks have no author or genre details?
