iTunes isn't syncing playlists to iPhone

I have been searching and searching for an answer to the problem I am having, but there is nothing... Here you go:

I noticed recently that I couldn't edit my playlists on my iPhone... I would move songs around and when I closed the edit window, it would go back to the original list. So I tried to make edits in iTunes and sync with my phone and found that iTunes will no longer let me sync my music. I have included a screen shot.

Last night I tried restoring the iPhone in hopes that it would help, and it didn't.

On a side note, I have an old iPod Nano that is not having the same issues. I have been able to update my playlists on the iPod with no problem.

Could this been an issue with iCloud? The new iTunes?

I have been having a simliar problem today. I created a new playlist in iTunes, then went to my iPhone and the playlist wasn't showing up. I am using I tried syncing my phone to iTunes, but the playlist still wouldn't show up. I am also using iCloud and the new iTunes. I ended up just re-creating the playlist on my phone. Can anyone confirm if this a bug with the new iTunes?

My phone refuses to show any playlists.....they all show on my ipad 3 and my mac but won't show on iphone 5, I have tried wifi sync, cable sync, restarting mac and phone, unchecking, rechecking sync buttons, everything. It must be the new problem with itunes 11. iMatch is due for renewal in 4 days, not sure I will be renewing

Same here. created a new playlist on iPhone. That one showed up on my Macbook.Then added some songs to this new playlist on the Macbook - not update on iPhone. Then I duplicated one of my smart playlists - no update on iPhone either. Now listening Spotify with my playlist (sadly non smart) there.

I am glad I am not the only one with this issue.

I called support on the other day to get assistance, and the guy I spoke with indicated that he was unaware of the problem and there was no known fix. I sent feedback to Apple to hopefully get the developers aware of the issue. If you all could do the same, maybe we can get them to resolve it more quickly.

Just contacted Apple support. Let's see with what they come up with.

My music is there can be streamed or downloaded - it's just my playlists that are gone.

And I can't access my Backup

I talked to Apple support today. They were very helpful. It turns out that my problem had to do with iTunes match. It was turned on by default. Once I turned it off (on the iphone5 go to Settings>Music>iTunes Match) I was able to go into iTunes on the computer and sync my playlists. Everything is working fine now.

This defeats the purpose of having iMatch, I pay $35 a year for service that won't function properly

Confirmed, after update to iTunes 11.0.1 and let it sync with iCloud, I could re-activate Match on my iPhone and all playlist are back. 5* to Apple, that was fast.

Not here. Just uploaded 14 songs without any problems at all. Fix for me was an internet connection that allows faster upstreams (2,5MBit, before 0,3MBit)
