Hi,

I am getting a new Windows laptop for Christmas. This means that I will need to change the computer my iPhone 4 is currently synced to from the shared computer I am currently using, to new new personal laptop.
The problem is, is that I don't have a clue how to do this without loosing any of the data on my phone.

I cannot simply transfer everything from the current comptuer to the new one as I do not have any of my pictures or contacts or anything from my phone also saved on the computer.
Loosing music from my iPhone is not a concern for me, as everything on my phone is from iTunes and can therefore be re-downloaded easily.

My concern is for my photos, text messages, contacts etc.

  • Will syncing my iPhone to a new computer effect any of those things?
  • What exactly are the elements that it will efect?
  • And how to I change the computer my iPhone is synced to without loosing anything important?

I'm new to iPhones and any help will be much appreciated! Thanks in advance.
