Connecting to exchange server triggers iPhone restore

I am able to verify and add my company's exchange server account on my iPhone 4S (iOS6). However as soon as iPhone makes connection with exchange server to fetch email,contact or calendar, iPhone resets and restores itself. Same account is working on iPad (iOS6) and iPhone 3G (iOS 5) with no issues.

Has anyone encountered this issue? I have checked with my IT department and they tell me there is nothing wrong with my account at thier end.

iPhone 4S, iOS 6.0.1

What do you mean by this? Do you mean it re-boots, or something else?

It blanks out, shows me apple logo for about 20 seconds, and then asks me to choose Language, Country etc. Same prompts that you get when you install iOS first time requiring me to connect to apple server to activate the phone. When you are done with everything your phone is as good as new 😟

I have tried restoring it from iTunes multiple times, but it doesnt work. Sad, I cant downgrade to iOS 5.

The admins need to take a hard look at the account it's connecting to. It sounds like someone managed to set up a forced wipe for that particular device that's being enforced as soon as it connects.

Can that phone connect to the server using a different account?

Yes, other accounts (supposedly setup like mine) can connect normally. Strange thing is, my account doesnt work from any 4S,iOS6 iPhone. It works on iOS5 however. My iPad with iOS6 can also connect.

It sure sounds like a wipe was initiated for that device.

Worst case, have the administrators delete and re-create your mailbox on the Exchange server.

It still puzzles me why would wipe (if at all) be initiated for only iOS6 and only on iPhone. let me try and check.Thanks for responding.
