Internet shuts down when i try to enter an email address. how do i fix it?

My internet shuts down when I try to enter an email address in hotmail. It also shuts down when I try to open the EBay log in page. I have tried with the Camino browser and get the same problem. I can not use firefox, mozilla says it does not support this operating system. Any help?
