My MacBook is a 13-inch, Aluminium, Late 2008. And shows that it has 2 memory slots each of which accepts a 1067 MHZ memory module. Is it okay to replace these with PC3-8500 DDR3 1066 MHz Type RAM?

About this Mac shows that "each slot accept a 1067 MHz DDR3 memory module." The link to "Memory Upgrade Instructions" at the bottom of the window takes you to an Apple Support page "MacBook: How to remove or install memeory" that gives the following specifications:

Memory card specifications - Double Data Rate Small Outline Dual Inline Memory Module (DDR SO-DIMM) format
- 30mm
- 1 GB or 2 GB
- 204-pin
- PC3-8500 DDR3 1066 MHz Type RAM

1066 MHz or 1067 MHz are compatible or a neglible difference with in an acceptable margin of error?

Does someone have an answer for this?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Yes the RAM is actually 1066 2/3. Some round up and some round down. The main thing to look for is that it's Mac compatible RAM.

These are good online stores for Mac compatible RAM

OWC
http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/Apple_MacBook_MacBook_Pro/Upgrade/DDR3- They offer Mac tested RAM at very good prices.

Crucial Memory http://www.crucial.com/ - good place to buy RAM from all over the world. They also have an excellent memory selector that allows you to choose memory based on your computer's model

Data Memory Systems http://www.datamemorysystems.com/apple-memory.asp - another good, cheap place to buying RAM if you live in the U.S.

Here are video instructions on replacing the RAM on the Aluminum Unibody.

If you don’t have the tools to open up the MacBook OWC has a set for $5.
