How can i connect a mac pro 2009 and a "new" imac?
Get the Thunderbolt to Firewire adaptor from Apple then connect via Firewire. Transfer data using Target Disk Mode.

Or join them to the same router (as they probably are already) - preferably by wired Ethernet - and share folders?
