Websites added to the Home Screen go to apple-touch-icon.png

I have added a website to the home screen of my iPad and iPhone, both running iOS 6.0.1. This website is on a Microsoft SharePoint server that is sitting behind a Microsoft UAG firewall. When I press on my home screen icon, it opens up Safari and puts the correct URL in the address bar. (https://www.foobar.com/subsite/calendar.aspx) At this point there is a Microsoft UAG logon screen that forces me to log in as this is secured information. After entering in my credentials/logging on, the URL changes to https://www.foobar.com/apple-touch-icon.png and it just tries to load the png file. It never actually loads the page I requested. I realize that the apple-touch-icon.png is used to have a specific icon on the home screen, but it is being sent somehow to our webserver when someone actually presses the icon on the home screen. (but after the actual URL is loaded) Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Ben
