Does iframe from a canon camera transfer directly to iPad 3 or 4 without going through the computer first ?

I just tested the validity of transferring an iFrame recorded video format using a Canon SX150 IS and a Camera Connection Kit to my iPad Mini and it works fine. Ironically, the iFrame movie format is a bigger file when compared to the h.264 version - at least that's how the Canon SX150 records it. I shot the same scene (same environment and lighting) for 15 seconds and I could not tell the video quality difference - both with a setting of 1280 x 720 30fps.
