I would just like to know how delete unnecessary apps That I have downloaded whilst playing with my new toy to get used to it. many thanks.
iPad
Tap and hold one app until they "wiggle", tap the "x", and delete. When done, press the home button to stop the wiggle.
Hold app down for a second or two until you see the X. Tap the X to delete.
Press on an app until they all start to wiggle. You will see a circled "x" in the upper left corner of each app. Tap on the circled "x" to delete that app. Apps that came on the device originally cannot be deleted.

Hold down on the App icon until it starts to wiggle, then when the red (x) shows up, tap it to delete the app from iPad. Then press the Home button to get back to normal operation.
