Q: Contemplating buying an iPad 2 (used from a Pal)

Hi all, so I am contemplating buying an iPad 2 from a pal (on the cheap) and wondering this:

* Will it run latest iOS6?

* Does it sync via wireless for itunes, or is it like my old iphone 3 and need the cable?

* Will it connect via bluetooth for keyboards and mouse?

Well, thx alot, I appreciate the input.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2),  No more PCs, finally!  FCS+FCPX

1, yes, the iPad 2 supports iOS 6.0.1

2, yes, you can sync wirelessly or via cable

3, it supports bluetooth keyboards, but you can't use mice (bluetooth or otherwise) with an iPad

you will not get Siri, not available on the 2 (in case you had that in mind)

I have a 2 and it runs iOS6 just fine. About the only thing I've noticed is that apps close more in the background....for example I could play angry birds and it'd run for days in the background before a lack of resources shut it down, not anymore. With iOS6, the OS seems to put enough of a demand on the resources that your apps will close on their own in the background (as in while you're not running them)

not horrible and certainly not something bad.

thx penguin and skydiver, that answers all. but of course raises a few more. i am more an android user (Galaxy Note II) and I am assuming ipads/newer iphones are like that... i.e. runnig multiple applications in the background (both system and user added). I use the phablet more as a tablet, and it's just too small really for things like splashtop, which I use a lot.

As long as the apps support multi-tasking then they will run in the background (e.g. Mail checking/fetching will go in the background, you can play music in the Music app as long as the app that you've switched into doesn't disable it due to its own sounds).
