My son forgot the password on his iPod and now it is disabled. I've connected it to the same computer that it has always been linked to and it says I have to put in a password before I can do anything. I restore it & it still shows it is disabled.

Recently my son changed his password and then forgot it. He tried to figure it out until he completely disabled the iPod. I connected it to the same computer it has always been linked to only for it to request a password for his iPod. I then restored it, thinking that would be then only way to get back in it and I still get the same message...iTunes could not connect to the iPod because it is locked with a password. You must enter the password on your iPod before it can be used. I don't know what to do...any suggestions?
