I have a long black test dialog box always on my desktop giving me a running dialog of what I am doing and what programs I am using, it suddenly appeared and not I can not find out how to turn it off?

Select ▹ System Preferences ▹ Accessibility ▹ VoiceOver and uncheck the box labeled Enable VoiceOver.
